# Pausing and Resuming Protected Path Restore

## Pausing and Resuming a Protected Path Restore in VAST Web UI

1. From the left navigation menu, select Data Protection and then Global Snapshot Clones.
2. Identify the global snapshot clone created for the path restore, named `<protected path name>-<restore>`. Right-click the global snapshot clone and select Pause Sync or Resume Sync.
3. In the confirmation box, click Pause Sync or Resume Sync again.

The restore is paused/resumed.
