# bgpconfig modify

Modify an existing BGP configuration.

## Usage

```plaintext
bgpconfig modify [--id ID] | [--uid UID]
                 [--self-asn SELF_ASN]
                 [--external-asn EXTERNAL_ASN]
                 [--any-external-asn BOOLEAN]              
```

## Required parameters

One of these parameters must be included.

| `--id ID` | ID of the BGP configuration to modify. |
| --- | --- |
| `--uid UID` | UUID of the BGP configuration to modify. |

## Options

| `--self-asn SELF_ASN` | Self ASN (Autonomous System Number) for the BGP configuration. |
| --- | --- |
| `--external-asn EXTERNAL_ASN` | External ASN to peer with. |
| `--any-external-asn BOOLEAN` | Set to `true` to allow peering with any external ASN. |

## Example

This example updates the self ASN for the configuration with UID "abc-123":

```plaintext
vcli: admin> bgpconfig modify --uid abc-123 --self-asn 64512
```
