# cbox modify

This command adds or modifies a CBox description.

##### Usage

```plaintext
cbox modify {--id ID}|{--uid UID}
            --description DESCRIPTION
```

##### Required Parameters

| `{--id ID}\|{--uid UID}` | Identify the CBox to be modified by specifying its ID or UID. |
| --- | --- |
| `--description DESCRIPTION` | Specify a description for the CBox. For example, you can add a data center name, rack location, and so on. |

##### Example

This example shows adding a description to CBox 1:

```plaintext
vcli: admin> cbox modify --id 1 --description mynewcbox
```
