# cnode rename

This command renames a CNode.

##### Usage

```plaintext
cnode rename --id ID --name NEWNAME
```

##### Required Parameters

| `--id ID` | Specify the CNode ID. |
| --- | --- |
| `--name NEWNAME` | Specify a new name for the CNode. |

##### Example

This example shows renaming CNode 4 to `cnode-g`:

```plaintext
vcli: admin> cnode rename --id 4 --name cnode-g
```
