# dnode rename

This command renames a DNode.

##### Usage

```plaintext
dnode rename --id ID --name NEWNAME
```

##### Required Parameters

| `--id ID` | Specify the DNode ID. |
| --- | --- |
| `--name NEWNAME` | Specify a new name for the DNode. |

##### Example

This example shows renaming DNode 9 to `dnode-j`:

```plaintext
vcli: admin> dnode rename --id 9 --name dnode-j
```
