The suffix should complete each domain name to form a valid FQDN for DNS requests to target. | | --- | --- | | `--enable` | Enables the VAST DNS service. | | `--disable` | Disables the VAST DNS service. | | `--net-type NORTH_PORT\|SOUTH_PORT\|EXTERNAL_PORT` | Specifies the network type interface for the DNS service. | | `--cnode-ids CNODE_IDs` | Comma-separated IDs of CNodes (uses all CNodes if not specified). | | `--ttl TTL` | Specifies the DNS TTL value. | | `--port PORT` | Specifies a port for the DNS service. | ## Example This example shows how to allocate a VAST DNS server configuration named VAST-DNS-Service: ```plaintext vcli: admin> dns allocate --name VAST-DNS-Service --domain-suffix mycorp.cluster.com --port 53 ```
