# snapshot delete

This command deletes a [snapshot](/docs-5-4/docs/snapshots-and-local-backup).Snapshots and Local Backup

##### Usage

```plaintext
snapshot delete --id ID
```

##### Required Parameters

| `--id ID` | Specifies which snapshot to delete. |
| --- | --- |

##### Example

```plaintext
vcli: admin> snapshot delete --id 1
Are you sure you want to delete the snapshot? [y/N] y
```
