# nis set_primary_provider

This command sets NIS as the primary POSIX provider.

## Usage

```plaintext
nis set_primary_provider --id ID
```

## Required Parameters

| `--id ID` | Identifies the NIS configuration to be used as the primary POSIX provider. |
| --- | --- |

## Example

```plaintext
vcli: admin> nis set_primary_provider --id 1
```
