# Publishing S3 Bucket Events to Third-Party Event Brokers

VAST Cluster lets you publish events occurring on an *S3 Bucket* view to a third-party event broker connected to the VAST cluster.

VAST Cluster supports [Apache Kafka](https://kafka.apache.org/) as the third-party event broker.

The workflow is as follows:

1. [Add](/docs-5-4/docs/managing-third-party-event-brokers-tg) a third-party event broker to the VAST cluster.
2. [Set up](/docs-5-4/docs/configuring-s3-bucket-notifications-for-a-view-tg) S3 event notifications for the view for which you want to publish events.
3. [Verify](/docs-5-4/docs/verifying-event-publishing-configuration-in-event-broker-tg) the configuration by sending a test event to the broker.
4. [Monitor](/docs-5-4/docs/monitoring-event-publishing-to-third-party-event-brokers-with-vast-analytics-tg) event publishing performance on the VAST cluster.
