# Supported Query Engines

The VAST database supports these query engines, either natively or using a connector:

- **Trino (versions 443, 420, 429)**. For details on setting up and configuring the Trino connector, see [Installing and Configuring the VAST Connector for Trino](/docs-5-4/docs/en/installing-and-configuring-the-vast-connector-for-trino).Installing and Configuring the VAST Connector for Trino
- **Apache Spark (3.5.1, 3.4.1)**. For details on setting up and configuring the Apache Spark connector, see [Installing the VAST Connector for Spark](/docs-5-4/docs/en/installing-the-vast-connector-for-spark).
- **VAST Query Engine**. The VAST Query Engine is supported natively, and can be accessed using the [VAST Database Python SDK](https://github.com/vast-data/vastdb_sdk), and using a VAST ADBC library with custom client applications. See [VAST Query Engine](/docs-5-4/docs/en/vast-query-engine).
