# vm expand

This command increases the number of VMs in a cloud-based deployment of VMS.

## Usage

```plaintext
vcli: admin> vm expand --total-enode-machines ENODES
```

## Required Parameters

| `--total-enode-machines ENODES` | Specifies the total number of ENode VMs in the cloud cluster, after expansion. The number must be greater than the number of VMs currently in the cluster. |
| --- | --- |

## Example

This command expands a cluster to 8 ENodes.

```plaintext
vcli: admin> vm expand --total-enode-machines 8
```
