# vm remove

This command removes a specified VM from a cloud-based cluster.

## Usage

```plaintext
vcli: admin> vm remove --vm-external-id VM_ID
```

## Required Parameters

| `--vm-external-id VM_ID` | Specifies the ID of the VM in the cluster to be removed |
| --- | --- |

## Example

This example removes VM 1 from the cluster.

```plaintext
vcli: admin> vm remove --vm-external-id "i-0c72b29a90f7100ac"
```
