# Activities

Long running VAST Cluster tasks are called *activities*. When activities are running, an indicator at the top right of the VAST Web UI is displayed, showing how many activities are running:

## Viewing Activity Details

While tasks are running:

1. A brief description of current activities is displayed.

2. To see more details and previous recent activities, click See Recent Activities.

The Activities page is displayed, providing details of the activities.

When no tasks are running:

- Select Activities from the left navigation menu.

Details of previous activities are displayed.
