# bgpconfig create

Create a new BGP configuration.

## Usage

```plaintext
bgpconfig create --name NAME
                 --self-asn SELF_ASN
                 --method METHOD
                [--external-asn EXTERNAL_ASN]
                [--any-external-asn BOOLEAN]      
```

## Required Parameters

| `--name NAME` | Name of the BGP configuration. |
| --- | --- |
| `--self-asn SELF_ASN` | Self ASN (Autonomous System Number). |
| `--method METHOD` | Method for BGP configuration, such as `numbered` or `unnumbered`. |

## Options

| `--external-asn EXTERNAL_ASN` | External ASN to peer with. |
| --- | --- |
| `--any-external-asn BOOLEAN` | Set to `true` to allow any external ASN. |

## Example

This example creates a new BGP configuration named "edge-peering" with static method:

```plaintext
vcli: admin> bgpconfig create --name edge-peering --self-asn 64512 --method static
```
