# Edit Hardware Descriptions

## Label a DBox

### Label a DBox from the VAST Web UI

This feature is used to label DBoxes in large clusters. The description is displayed in the Description column the Infrastructure > DBoxes view.

1. Connect to the VAST Web UI. 2. Select ![3dots_menu.png](https://cdn.us.document360.io/89b91113-5dc6-49db-86ec-57b16dc8ce56/Images/Documentation/img-b291f3c09c45ce5a298f55c7d9aa1b6d(63).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-08T09%3A29%3A46Z&se=2026-11-08T10%3A29%3A46Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=H%2F21wFYyHTTfgCWBQqs8aIoX%2BVQ3u3satXik5XJELUw%3D) at the right side of the Dbox to edit, and then select Edit.
3. Enter the description for the DBox and select the Edit button.

## Label a CBox

### Label a CBox from the VAST Web UI

Use the Edit menu option from the action menu to create a new description for a CBox or to edit the current description. This feature is used to label CBoxes in large clusters. The description is displayed in the Infrastructure > CBoxes view.

1. Connect to the VAST Web UI. 2. 3. Enter the new description for the CBox and select the Edit button.
