# Expiration and Usage Warnings

When you are nearing the licensed capacity or the end of your subscription period, [alarms](/docs-5-5/docs/overview-of-alarms-and-events) are triggered as defined below.

### License - usage_capacity_percentage

Percentage of cluster capacity in use.

| Alarm Severity | Default trigger threshold |
| --- | --- |
| Minor | Greater than or equal to 80% cluster capacity |
| Major | Greater than or equal to 90% cluster capacity |
| Critical | Greater than or equal to 99% cluster capacity |

### License - remaining_days

Number of days remaining until the active license expires.

| Alarm Severity | Default trigger threshold |
| --- | --- |
| Minor | Lower than or equal to 120 days |
| Major | Lower than or equal to 60 days |
| Critical | Lower than or equal to seven days |
