# Modifying QoS Policies

## Modifying QoS Policies in VAST Web UI

1. From the left navigation menu, select Element Store and then QoS Policies.
2. Right-click the QoS policy you want to edit, and select Edit.
3. Change the settings as needed. For a detailed explanation of each setting, see [Creating a QoS Policy](/docs-5-5/docs/creating-a-qos-policy).
4. Click Update to save your changes.

## Modifying QoS Policies in VAST CLI

Run the `⚠️ qospolicy modifyqospolicy modify` command.

To assign a user QoS policy, run the [qospolicy attach-user](/docs-5-5/docs/qospolicy-attach-user) command. To remove policy assignment from users, run the [qospolicy detach-user](/docs-5-5/docs/qospolicy-detach-user) command.
