# snapshot delete

This command deletes a [snapshot](/docs-5-5/docs/snapshots-and-local-backup).

#### Usage

```plaintext
snapshot delete --id ID
```

#### Required Parameters

| `--id ID` | Specifies which snapshot to delete. |
| --- | --- |

#### Example

```plaintext
vcli: admin> snapshot delete --id 1
Are you sure you want to delete the snapshot? [y/N] y
```
