Keeping your cluster data current ensures our support team can provide you with the most accurate, efficient assistance and consult with you on proactive risk mitigation. ### The Monthly Update Process When you receive your monthly inventory status email indicating that a cluster has stale data, please complete the following four steps: 1. **Download the Data Collection Script:** Navigate to the [VAST Support Tool - Cluster Inspection](/kb/docs/vast-support-tool-cluster-inspection-and-export) documentation and download the latest version of the data collection script specific to your hardware (CBox/DBox or EBox). 2. **Execute the Script:** Run the inspection script on the specific clusters identified in your monthly reminder. The script will safely collect node states, hardware info, and network configurations without impacting cluster performance. Detailed execution commands are available in the [Cluster Inspection](/kb/docs/vast-support-tool-cluster-inspection-and-export#cluster-inspection) article. 3. **Review the Output:** Once the script finishes running, a report and run log will be saved to your directory. Review this output locally to ensure it meets your organization's internal security and compliance requirements before sharing it with VAST. 4. **Upload the Results:** Upload the approved script output to the **Clusters** section of the [VAST Support Portal](https://support.vastdata.com/s/). ### Next Steps & Support Once your data is uploaded, our team will review the health check results to ensure your clusters are operating optimally. If any vulnerabilities or issues are detected, a VAST Support representative will reach out to consult with you on risk mitigation. If you have any questions or need assistance during this process, please [contact VAST Support](https://support.vastdata.com/s/).
